Yep... I am falling off my square.. I am still eating heath;y food and I am trying.. but I have eaten something not on my list for the pass few days and I am craving sweets.. I ate a whole tube of mints just cause they were in my purse today..
I have not worked out since my trainer was here a couple days ago and due to my new job I can't attend training in the am. I haven't done the Jillian Michael's video since last week, but tomorrow is a new day.

Day 11 - Slacking...
I have been slacking this week.. and the scale is staying put.. A couple reasons for that.. the holiday and my new job.. but don't count me out yet.. I am still in this for the long haul!!
Today, I over ate on my healthy/clean food (sunflower seeds are high in calories be careful); I also ate 4 candy canes (however, all of the candy canes are now gone) :-) YAH no more temptation.. On another note, I have not been working out as I need too be, but I have been getting my 2 Liters of water.. so all in all
Food = Failed
Exercise = Failed
Water = Passed
I realize that I am not going to lose weight like this so tomorrow is a new day!!
Bye Bye

Day 10 - Prepared 2 Win
Hey Peeps,
So, yesterday was Christmas and I enjoyed myself. I relaxed, slept in and took a nap later that day. I ate bad.. yes really bad... I had 6 candy canes, honey bun pound cake, potato cheese casserole, dressing, and no telling what else.. (exhale)
But today is a new day, before I went to bed last night I cooked lemon pepper shrimp, chicken favored brown rice, green beans and mushrooms and Italian backed chicken breast. I wanted to be prepared to get back on track today and I was prepared. I packed so much healthy food for work today that I couldn't finish it all.
Also, in order to get the toxins out of my system I started drinking smooth move tea last night and I will more than like do a detox on Sunday.
Recipes:
Italian Chicken Breast
Chicken Breast (weighing 6oz or less)
Kraft (fat free) Zesty Italian Dressing
Salt
Pepper
(You can add fresh peppers- but I was lazy so I didn't)
Place clean Chicken in baking dish and cover with Italian Dressing (make sure to get the dressing underneath the chicken as well). Season with salt and pepper. Cover with foil and bake on 350 for 30 minutes.
Chicken Favored Brown Rice
Brown Rice
Chicken Broth
Boil rice in the chicken broth until done. :-)
Green Beans and Mushrooms
Fresh Green Beans
Fresh Mushrooms
Garlic Clove
Garlic Salt
Pepper
Non Stick Spray
1 TB of Butter Substitute
Spray pan add veggies and garlic and butter substitute stir frequently until done.. :-)
Lemon Pepper Shrimp
Raw shrimp (cleaned and de-veined)
Fresh Lemons
Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Salt
Old Bay Garlic and Seafood Seasoning
Cut two lemons and squeeze the fresh juice into the pan. Add the clean shrimp and season with the seasonings. The shrimp will boil in the lemon juice and take on the lemon favor. They make an amazing snack or you can place them in a wrap with spinach.

Day 7- Prepared 2 Win
Today is Sunday and it is my day to prepare my food for the week ahead. I go through my frig to see what I need to cook and freeze before it goes bad or also to see what I need to purchase for the next week. I found three items that I need to cook and freeze (collard greens, squash, and chicken legs - recipes below). Did you know that you can purchase Amish skinless chicken legs from Wal-Mart?? Buying skinless takes the drama out of the situation for me.. lol.. because even though I am not suppose to eat the skin I would anyway. (So-- know yourself people and buy things that support your goals)
I feel great today. My trainer came to my house and GOT - ME - 2GETHER!! OKAY... lol but seriously working out to a dvd or alone can not compare to having someone assist you and motivate you. I love this girl cause I could not have made it through burpees, squat jumps, planks, etc etc without her help.. Thank you Bianca Hopes
TOMORROW IS WEIGH IN DAY!!
Recipes
Baked Chicken Legs
Skinless Chicken Legs
Seasons (Garlic Salt, Lemon Pepper)
Non-Stick Spray
Spray baking dish. set oven to 350. season chicken well and bake uncovered for 30 minutes
Sauteed Squash
Squash (sliced)
Garlic Clove (chopped)
Onion (chopped)
Salt and Pepper
Non-Stick Spray
1 TB butter substitute
Over medium heat spray pan with non-stick spray and add butter substitute.. melt down then add garlic, onions, and squash. Stir frequently until you achieve the desired texture and carmalization.
Collar Greens
1 bag pre-cut and cleaned collars
1 smoked turkey leg
1 onion
2 tb olive oil
2 tb red pepper flakes
16oz chicken broth
1 chicken bullion cube
salt & pepper
Over medium heat boil turkey leg in water for 4 to 5 hours with a covered lid (meat is done when it falls off of the bone). Remove meat from the bones and return the meat to the pot. Add olive oil and chicken bullion cube to the pan.. stir together.. and then load in the greens, add chicken broth.. next add the seasoning (so that the seasoning isn't washed to the bottom of the pot) and then pepper flakes and onions on top. Simmer on low heat for a few hours (3 to 4) until tender. If tough or bitter they are not done yet.. keep simmering.. stir greens periodically and add more chicken broth if liquids are low..

Day 5 - Work Plus Weight Loss Equal Winning
Hi Guys,
I am heading back to work tomorrow and I am excited. However, eating healthy at the work place can be a challenge, but there is a way to keep it easy and simple. PREPARE AHEAD.. yes prepare ahead of time lunches and snacks for your work week. My family hates left overs and that's a plus for me, because instead of storing my left overs in a huge container that no one will ever touch I break them down into my lunch portions and snacks.
Example:
I cooked stuff peppers 2 days ago and stored them in individual containers. So today selecting my lunch was simple. I just went in and grabbed what I saw available. Also, when I see my fruit going bad, as in my grapes, I freeze them in snack size portions and grab them when I need a snack. Frozen grapes are delicious by the way (its my diet candy).
So tomorrow I have a 12 hour shift and here is what I am taking:
2 Tubs of Frozen Grapes (snacks)
1 Veggie Wrap with 1 Apple (1st break)
1 Tuna Salad (2nd break)
1 Stuffed Bell Pepper with 2 Cuties (Lunch)
1 Liter of Water (I will refill it as needed)
I will also be making an egg white omelet for breakfast and when I get off work following my workout I will have a protein shake or bar.
So, that's how I do it - I hope that I helped someone out or if you have tips for me please post a comment.
Bye Bye for now.

Day 4 - Oh How I Love Kickboxing
What it do, Peeps?
I weighed myself this morning out of curiosity and the scale said that I am down 5lbs.. My true 1 week weigh in is on Monday, but I can see a change so I am geek. My eating is going well. I have be diligent about sticking to the allowed foods for week 1 and drinking all 8 bottles of my water. I started to create meal ideas and I am having a good time with it... no more boring salads and plain oatmeal...
Last night it was Fish taco/wrap and today for lunch I had Stuffed Bell Peppers (recipes below)

Fish Taco (I used a mission's wrap)
1 4 oz. tilapia fillet
1 cup of shreaded romaine lettuce
1 whole wheat wrap
1 tablespoon of lt. sour cream
1 tablespoon of salsa
Pan shear the fillet using non-stick cooking spray. I seasoned the fillet with lemon pepper and sea salt. Chop it up and layer over the lettuce inside the wrap. Add the sour cream and salsa.
Counts as 1Veggie, 1Meat, 1Crap (225 calories)
Stuffed Bell Pepper
2 Bell Pepper
1lb Ground Chicken
1 Can of Tomato Sauce
2 Cups of Kale Chopped
1 Clove of Garlic
1/2 Onion
Seasoning Salt and Pepper
Feta Cheese
Brown and season Chicken and Garlic using non-stick cooking spray. Add Kale and cook down till Kale is tender. Then add tomato sauce and stir till blended. Slice and Clean peppers then stuff with chicken mixture. Spray baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and place stuffed peppers in dish. Bake for 30 mins on 375. Add feta cheese and return to oven for another 15 minutes. Counts as for one half of a pepper: 2Veggies, 1Meat (200 calories) Lose the feta and reduce calories by 40 calories if you are counting calories..
Kickboxing is not new to me, I use to kick box a lot a couple of years ago... but you know we get busy and we forget how much we LOVE certain things.. I absolutely LOVE KB and it is my prefer method of working out. Not to mention my jabs are on point STILL to this day..
I use to kick the top of the bag, but don't worry!
Gimme a week!

I can hit equally as hard with my left or my right!! LOL
(but don't try me)
My workout for today is kickboxing at Metro United Karate with personal trainer Bianca Hopes. Her contacting information is above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Not Your Granny's Mall Walking
This pic goes out to all my friends and family who are doubting that my behind HAD reached 195lbs... this pic was taken a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.. but of course I bell'ed out of the 90 day challenge until I gained an additional 5lbs.. whomp whomp whomp
Model turned straight Fatty!! I laugh at myself a lot!! Please, don't be offended!! Today I started off stiff and sore, but I learned a very good lesson after my Mall Walking session with my Personal Trainer Bianca Hopes. I told her that I was sore and her response was.. "Active Recovery is Awesome". (WTWhat)
Well-- it really was awesome. I burned 1000 calories and my stiffness went away. I am still sore but not as sore as I was earlier. One day I will research why/how that happens (working out on sore muscles help with recover).. it makes absolutely no sense but hey I ain't complaining...
Mall Walking.. you see the older crowd getting it in each morning and you may think oh that's simple and easy... hahaha NOT this type of mall walking... I worked my total body using every piece of furniture accessible to me.. Cray Cray.. the older folks where cheering me on.. LOL
Not Your Granny's Mall Walking
My eating is still going well and I got in all my water today. However, I am tired of eating the same thing everyday, so following the nutrition plan provided by my Trainer Bianca Hopes I went shopping.
Eat Clean & Train Dirty (Nutrition Plan) By Bianca Hopes
Excited about the fish taco that I am making tonight for dinner!!
Best meal I ate this week! I couldn't wait to share!
I feel great and again no naps today!!
Tomorrow I have kickboxing with who you ask, lol my trainer (Bianca Hopes)

Day One (Let's Go)
This is my weight loss journal. I am so proud of myself for making the choice to get fit and healthy. I weighed 195lbs this morning (drops head in shame). A weight that I haven't seen since the birth of my son 3 years ago.
However, today is a great day because I have decided that enough is enough. I am doing a 90 challenge with my sister/personal trainer Bianca Hopes. She has gotten me started on my meal plan this morning and I attended her step/cardio class this evening. I am motivated and determined!
It is now 11:51p and I am still going hard. I followed the meal plan and I actually feel great. I was not hungry all day and I had a ton of energy. And yep... I drank all my water (8 bottles).. It feels good to be on the right track; instead of sleeping all morning, eating crap all day, and not getting much accomplished. Over the next 30 days I am planning to lose 20lbs... This is a huge goal, but go hard or go home.. This is what I look like at 175lbs.
YES!! YES!! AND YES!!
Tomorrow I may be a little sore, but so what I look forward to it!!
As my trainer Bianca says, "TRAIN YOUR MIND & YOUR BODY WILL FOLLOW"!
